DRB Qualifiers #4 is planned to take place on February 4th and 5th. We have six North Americans teams in total participating in this tournament (Skill Difference, GDT, WIDS?, It’s GoSu, HiiB, and WWCD), as well as Team FIRE, who are already in the finals for the DRB tournament. Evil Geniuses add Maelk and Lacoste
Evil Geniuses have been performing at a lackluster rate in Dota 2 compared to their dominance in the Dota 1 scene. The organization decided to make some roster changes, adding world renowned players and former MYM members Maelk and Lacoste. Pajkatt will be officially leaving the team and Demon will be sitting as a 6th man on the bench. A Progressive Tournament Design
Single-elimination, double-elimination, group stages (round-robin), best of 3.
Tournaments can have many formats. Multiple formats are often combined together. The goal of tournament design is to ultimately produce the “best winner”. Any tournament that has prizes for placing something other than first also needs to yield proper final rankings. Additionally, tournament design needs to provide an exciting competition for spectators.
Unfortunately, eSports has lost sight of these goals, and has adopted a few bad habits. Read more

There will never be a “Day[9] of DotA”

His boyish charisma, refreshing honesty, and extensive game knowledge put him miles ahead of anyone else (Tasteless & Artosis are great, but they fill a different role). He has created a lucrative career that most gamers dream of: watching, streaming, and commentating on Starcraft 2. Although there have been others in the past who have put food on the table through eSports commentating revenue, Day[9] has taken it to a whole new level. Starcraft 2 live streaming as a whole has evolved to a point that no other game has touched.
