Hausen M!Ss: The Future of the Rap Game?

Team wut? was recently picked up by Hausen eSports.  I sat down with team leader, ^MiSs, to discuss the sponsorship, IceFrog's new "Reliable Gold" update, how to deselect select, and most importantly, boxers vs. briefs.

Spit-wad: Hey, care to introduce yourself?
^MiSs: Yo, I'm ^M!Ss, captain of team wut? recently picked up by Hausen esports.

Spit-wad: Tell us the process of joining the Hausen organization. Who approached who? Would you like to divulge any of the sponsorship benefits?
^MiSs:
Jing was the main man, as he had already contacted them before to show our interest in a sponsor. Jing was once a member of STFU gaming, so he knew some people because some staff members from STFU merged into Hausen. Besides the obvious benefits such as vent and responsibility, Hausen pays all our online tournament fees, and depending on the money collected, some hardware and other fees. Currently we are working on getting a lag free host bot, so we can scrim all the teams without any lag, which makes the clan war process a lot faster.

Spit-wad: How long have you guys been playing together as a team? Do you feel that being a part of Hausen will motivate the team to go farther?
^MiSs: We've been together for almost half a year now if not more. Some of the people that initially started with us like Daisy was on two different teams with me before. Dwak, Miggy, and Silver knew each other way before team wut? formed. Jing, I knew him way back from i7 when I used to play on Ironfist with Winki, Dark and Zeb, as for the rest we got to meet them along our path of scrimming and spamming NADotA forums. As for the sponsor, I'm sure it puts more responsibility on our shoulders and we are going to strive to get better and improve as time goes on. But officially speaking, the sponsor was never the main reason why we were motivated, our team spirit, cooperation, and communication keeps the team alive.

Spit-wad: What do you think of the recently announced "Reliable Gold" update?
^MiSs: I don't think that update matters to us at all, because we have a "policy" to buy our items right when we get our gold. We don't want our carries without treads if he gets ganked and our supports without obs if they get ganked. But the fact that you can't lose the reliable gold makes the carry hero stronger late game, because the carry will be the one getting all the kills in teamfights.

^MiSs

Spit-wad: Do you think we'll see more tower diving because of it? Possibly some techies action?
^MiSs: Shoutout to UmbreonPewPew #1 Techies. Possibly some tower diving because the kill you get will turn to reliable gold, but against high skill teams, they will 4 man tp against your 3 heroes and increase their reliable gold in return. A smart person will think of the marginal cost of diving into the tower.

Spit-wad: Do you anxiously await every new version, or are you content with grinding away at the same version, fine-tuning strats and uncovering new imbalances?
^MiSs: I anxiosly await every new version to come up with new strategies and also see what top teams are doing with each version. If the game stays the same, all teams will eventually start to copy who is the best, just like the "copycat" going on with the NADotA scene since the ESWC. Hopefully new versions will break the new habit, and force team captains to think of new heroes and lineups.

Spit-wad: Have you played HoN? Do you plan on playing Valve DotA?
^MiSs: I have never played HoN. I only play DotA and Mario. Whenever DotA goes "Valving", I am ready to play on it.

Spit-wad: Your "Full Diss to Live" was pretty entertaining, and your most recent "Full Diss to Select" is still being referenced in underground rap battles everywhere. Can we plan on hearing more from you soon? Are you the future of the rap game?
^MiSs: I am not even close to entering the rap game, artists like myself will always stay in the background and do what we love the best. Live is a good man, Select is a shitty man, if I were to diss someone later on, I would probably diss Onto just cuz he treats everyone like an ass. I don't really diss people that personally offend me, of course a partial credit goes to that, but I diss people that treat other people like shit and have no respect for themselves. Basically, I like to voice people's opinions in some way, expressing it through music.

Spit-wad: Boxers or Briefs?
^MiSs: Boxers.

Spit-wadShoutouts?
^MiSs: Shoutout to Jing tha masta, Silva the terra, Silhouette, Syllabear, inK da disasta, Zeede the ruler of mexicans, KioM the silent missile, Monk the monk, Chewed, Cadam, Beasted, Live the evil, Blitz, Miggy, Moe, Effects, Bombas, ixmike
KiDZzz, pointNclick, Necrolite the boss man, Damian and Priest from Hausen, Traffik aka Huu85, and finally to all gamers from UB, MGL.

Thanks to ^MiSs for giving us his time. Good luck to Hausen in upcoming leagues and tournaments!
