Welcome to our weekly recap of goings-on in the North American DotA community!
This was a very exciting week, and not just because it was America's fuckin' birthday!
- NADS guest writer Darkfire shared an editorial about mIRC/GGC and the death of the American Inhouse League. Check it out here. Very sad, heartbreaking stuff. But if we do not learn from the past, we are doomed to repeat its mistakes.
- SECS 4.3 went off without a hitch, and Team AzN earned another notch on their belt, this time over PSILY. Check out teams, brackets, and replays here. Props to Chief SECS Admin Live on another successful week.
- On a more global scale, Nirvana.Giga.Int traveled to Paris, France for the Electronic Sports World Cup. The roster featured American favorites Fear, Demon and Korok. Check out complete coverage here, courtesy of PlayDota.com.
- Semi-retired American pro Merlini has started a tournament series based in the popular American Battle.net DotA training ground, Clan TDA (with the help of his
loverfriend, Sayuri). Check out his forum post on PlayDota.com and sign your team up now! - NADS's own shoutcaster-extraordinaire composed a brief article about the ongoing fight against maphackers on his own website, DotACast.com. Stop by and fight the good fight!
That's all for this week, folks!
