I'm just gonna throw this out there, Batman Begins was good too

there were things that TDKR did well but there was a lot that I felt was really contrived

nobody was more disappointed by that movie than me homie

i thought it was entertaining, but it was definitely worse than the previous one. lots of plot holes, utter lack of motivation for characters, reluctance to actually address any of the social issues it brought up, blatant contradictions in characters, way too much exposition instead of showing etc etc

don't get me wrong it was fun to watch. but it was pretty much just another well-executed action movie.

btw i thought the prestige was fun

result: was worse than expected

so much stupid shit, so many introduced characters going nowhere, all this shit about stock markets and freeing jailed people and taking over gotham for no purpose or at least not one elaborated upon, ending contrived and cheesy and people are arguing its inception (omfg did batman rely dieg uzy/?? whdream??), bane was more of a cartoon character than a real badass villain, which i've got no problem with cause the character was kind of a quaint and i thought tom hardy did a good job but then there's no real purpose/incentive to him being there other than just needing a villain

random crappy dialogue --> cut to action sequence --> fucking ass camera shots (if theres something nolan can deliver it's at least here isn't it but name one memorable shot from this film) --> PLOT DEVICE --> rinse repeat until we get to "OMFG IM TALIA" and then end with typical cheesy nolan ending shit
