funny that you say i'm blind for missing the "I" in your post while you literally quote me as saying they've been getting "'stomped at lans,'" when i only said they got stomped at their last lan and then speculated they would've/will also get stomped at DHS and TI2.
to respond to your point anyway, SL1 was over three months ago, was a lineup with inmate and not admir, and the two teams they finished ahead of were a darer squad that literally broke up after the tourney because of internal problems and a clg roster that was using a standin i think. btw, M5 still needed a third game to top them.

Speculation is cheap. We all know that. I can (I have and will continue to) talk smack about any team that hasn't shown up on LAN because that's where it really matters. I wouldn't go around flaring about how PB is going to be the next revolution in DotA until they show they can perform live and under the pressure of a crowd. I can't say the same for M5 though because they showed up at numerous LANs (although with an unstable roster almost each time) such as Asus Open, SL I & II, and probably will make it for TI2.

This is literally some of the stupidest, most ignorant reasoning I have ever seen (regarding developers putting up money for tournaments etc). You realize that there are entire professional scenes (MtG) that were supported by the game company (WotC) for years before "3rd party, organic" contributions were even remotely comparable? Does this somehow "not count" because the creator of the game recognized the value in supporting a competitive scene and had the financial means necessary in order to foster that scene? asdfawfeawefawefasdf
