NASA Landing on MARS in a few hours!
Surprised nobody's talking about this but the rover they're sending since last year is almost reaching it's destination !
Here's some info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2t7p0...layer_embedded

There are several places to watch online livestream of the landing (or so they promised):
I'm trying to collect some useful information and will update here:TIMES 10:31 PM PST Aug. 5 1:31 AM EST Aug. 6 12:31 AM CDT Aug. 6 5:31 AM GMT Aug. 6
- NASA Mission pages for Mars Science Laboratory which has a countdown clock until time of landing.
- The closest we can get to actually "seeing" what happens live is to use the live view of the Eyes on the Solar System simulator
- Here's a timeline for the events (appears to be in PDT) from someone blogging at JPL.
