Anyway I think you have to build necro super tanky nowadays, like mek into hood etc and just work off his passive. I do miss the bloodstone radiance days.

I've been working with refresher on necrolyte it's actually pretty godlike since Purist gives 600 mana on kill. Enough to repeat combo.

But have faith, once imba Bradwarden hits Dota 2 necro will be high counter and we'll see him very often.

He's fun but I've just never found a viable build outside of dagon 5+aghs+eth blade+refresher.

also extremely item dependent (needs boatloads of mana) and scales poorly compared to almost every other semi/hard carry

mediocre laning as well as poor armor/hp for a hero that needs to stand in the middle of everything means that necro is just the same as every other nonviable hero, it's good when ur winning and its just another useless hero when ur losing

refute my statement kzz, via an articulate statement concerning why you believe necrolyte to be good

necrolyte is a sustainer hero who improves greatly with farm who can put out decent burst
with necro ur doing about 50 dps to every hero from ur nuke, healing ur team for 25 per second, and ur aura does about 25 dps later on in the game.
statistically speaking necro is swinging the fight ur way with 100 damage points in your favour every second. This isnt counting his autos which are gonna put out 200 dps to the main target that you should be focusing.
also he has a nuke which effectively cuts any heros hp down to about ~45%.
necros good at taking a hero out of the fight quickly while also putting damage on every other hero and also healing and keeping your team up.
he has great farm potential with the nuke which will allow him to get big quick
with items like sheep he becomes super useful and a big tank with heart shivas skadi
