the sad part is people are actually willing to pay for dota "coaching" when the game's meant to be fun for 99.99% of players

i'm sure buying coaching is just the chrysalis phase before a dota player matures into an account buyer

i think coaching is the reason why people do that tired talking thing like what blitz moo and bsj do, it's a lot easier to emulate them than improve yourself im sure sir lads boyz

The vast majority of core players below X mmr have no real decision making process for when to fight or when to farm. They don't know lane matchups, they don't know what to prioritize in laning phase or after laning phase, and they don't know how to use movements to control a game.

You could learn these things by playing a lot of games and finding things that work, but it's much faster and more effective to try to learn from players who do know these things. That can mean watching replays, finding tutorials, partying with better players, or just paying for a coach.

I could take 15 minutes with a player 2k mmr below me and just talk about a hero that I know and after that 15 minutes he would be a better player for it. I'm sure it works the same way with anyone much better than me. That's why I continued watching other people's replays even when I thought I was playing a hero near perfectly.

'Tis a lesson you should heed:
    Try, try, try again.
If at first you don't succeed,
    Try, try, try again.
