Thread: Where to start?

    Where to start?

Hey, I'm kind of new to the dota scene. Been playing the game itself for a while in pubs and more recently been playing THR and am really close to getting into their 3rd tier. As a result, I feel like I need to branch out and find more places/people to play with and get better. Does anyone know where I can find these high quality games and/or get noticed by a team to start playing with? I can never get 5+ skilled people that I know together consistently and everyone says the only way to improve drastically is to play with a group of ppl. My goal is simple, I want to get good enough to play in competitive games and with a decent team.

watch replays of the player inK^. not only will u learn skill-wise, but he practices manners that should be shown in every game you play

jing: first time i saw my girl
jing: i mumbled for like an hour
jing: i couldn't even keep eye contact
jing: and she was like "can you speak up"
jing: and then i just fucking left

jing: i tried eating the girl out but i had no idea what i was doing
jing: i felt like she faked moans or w/e
jing: cause i had 0 idea of how to eat a girl out
jing: i flicked it with my tongue
jing: but eventually it got kind of repetitive and i had no idea what to do next
jing: what a fucking horrible story

Look for a team there, or on the THR forums...Keep your expectations realistic and you shouldn't have a problem finding people around your same skill level. Don't go and look for some high skilled team, if you are still struggling to even make it into T3 then try to pick up some low to mid skilled players.

    Biggest joke post in world.

Lizuko you did well in the THR's I played with you, but you definitely need to get onto a scrim team. You are really short on map awareness and need to work on your support heroes.
    QQ Pubs:

    Re: Where to start?

when i played with u it was really awkward
it looked like u kinda knew wat u were doing but then u didnt

u should probably try to outplay people in t2 before u start scrimming

    Re: Where to start?

yeah, map awareness is one of the things i realize i really lack in. working on it. as for sheep....eh...not my best games imo. made a lot of mistakes for sure.

edit: also i can outplay avg t2 players fairly easily....not trying to be arrogant, simply responding to an on topic post.
