Good gaming set up
What is a good mouse, keyboard and headset for playing sc2?
I saw the marauder/banshee/spectre and to be honest it just looks like the regular overpriced cheap crap that razer usually produces. Any ideas?

Re: Good gaming set up
Why do you need a expensive mouse keyboard or headset? How does it improve you at any level cept at the top.

Re: Good gaming set up
Headset does not improve performance.
Any keyboard will do. if you want to spend more than necessary, popular ones are Saitek Eclipse and Logitech G15/17.
Mice is all about preference. If you have ever gotten used to a Logitech mouse, you'll never be able to switch. G5/MX518 are amazing.

Logitech mx518 is really good imo. Lasted a good 2 years worth of bashing, bought a new one as soon as I could afford !

Re: Good gaming set up
i used to use a shitty 5$ mouse, but recently bought the razer abyssus (their simplest model of mouse) and I couldn't go back now. It all depends on how you hold the mouse and what you like. If you hold it with your fingertips, the abyssus is really really nice, but it's also extremely light so I don't know if you like that or a heavier mouse. If you hold it with your whole hand, the logitech mice people are talking about rape.

my friend has some razer bajajajaja mousee that was super expensive or something and it feels terrible. if you're comfortable with the 5dollar microsoft mouse use that.

correct. I used to use some random logitech wireless media mouse that I got as a gift when I was little. When I decided to switch, I got a Razer and hated it sooooooooo much. Then I returned it and picked up my G5 and couldn't be happier.
Use what you're comfortably with. In general, I'd say the Logitech mice are the most accepted, but there are definitely people out there who could never let go of their Razers. If you get a mouse and it takes you more than a couple games to get used to, it's not the right one.

Re: Good gaming set up
ive had no problems with my abyssus i love it to death. the problem i had with all the other mice was that they were too big/heavy for my tastes because i just grip it with my fingertips instead of my palm/hand

Re: Good gaming set up
i bought a new mouse like two weeks ago.
i asked a bunch of nerd gamers in irc channels and it was pretty collective that logitech mx 518 (http://www.logitech.com/en-us/mice-poin ... vices/4259) or logitech G500(http://www.logitech.com/en-us/mice-poin ... vices/5750) were popular.
i bought both and liked the 518 better, but they are both smooth as buttah. a good mouse pad is also important.
or if you have small girly hands like torabora you should maybe go for the razor one. if you happen to see the CEO of razer while buying it, please tell him to pay out prizes for RGC.

Re: Good gaming set up
I've been using a SteelSeries 5L (the old version that looked cool) for the past few years. A decent mousepad is definitely nice, but the cloth on mine has been gradually coming off around the edges for a couple years. I'm not saying it wasn't worth it, but definitely don't throw more than $20 at a mousepad. Go for one of the cheaper SteelSeries pads if you're interested.
For the record, SteelSeries headsets are god awful. I tried a pair of Siberias and assumed they were < $5. Senheisser is definitely the way to go for headsets. For a non-audiophile, my HD201's have been working great (although just headphones, not a headset, but I switched to a desktop mic a while ago).
Their keyboards look nice, but they're just so expensive...

I've had this mouse for about 5 years now. Love it.

Got this maybe a year ago, my first gaming mousepad. I don't remember if I got the speed or the control edition though. I think I went for control since I use a high sensitivity.

Slim, backlit, nice feel to it.
For headset, I got a Siberia, and the mic broke on me the second day of having it. The sound though is so badass, and since I bought a real mic for shoutcasting, I don't really need the mic in it anyway. Regardless I would not buy another Steelseries headset.1:09 AM - DiSMeK: damn bro its the ganked sniper
