Despite a rather inactive year for NADotA, we are now back in action and ready to kick off summer 2011 with a brand new website. The new site is a "downscaled" version. We realized that our previous goals might have been a bit ambitious, especially for such a niche site. Having a 6-month dead period is not good for our image.

We plan to reestablish ourselves as a quality > quantity content provider, still primarily focusing on the North American Professional DotA scene. All DotA2 updates will also be posted here. The goal is to simplify the site and reduce the workload for our staff, while increasing the focus on the community. We will continue working to improve the forums, along with anything else that could improve the user experience. This already includes a cleaner design and a list of currently live DotA streams.

The content from the old site can still be accessed via the Archive link at the bottom of the page (though most of it is now text-only). We have also successfully migrated to our new server, so there will be no more slow load times and forum time outs.

I like the changes visually to the forums but I did like the look of the old front page more. Although, I've never really used anything on here other than the forums =)

I realize the front page might be less visually appealing at first glance, but I think you will grow to appreciate its simplicity and cleanliness. It represents what we're going for - just quality content with no flashy stuff to get in your way.

NADotA v1.0 was... ugly. It featured these banners (actually nice photoshop job by Ganked embedding our logo, but overall very ugly - and these were the prettiest part of the whole design):

I will be vague in my answer, Grant: I had not heard that rumor until yesterday. I do not see any signs that would confirm such a statement.

The updates were (in tldr form):

1. Site upgrades
