Same team qualities, different atmosphere

Creating a new team, with a different mindset. D4l had a long run, and a successful run at that. Sure we never made it into a big tourny or quite as international as 1437 or universe, but we scrimmed against the top European teams on a regular basis.

D4l had such a long run because of a few factors. Number one I had a great right hand man, his name was Fun. Secondly, we started the team with the idea that skill can be acquired, but what we really looked for in potential recruits were trust, friendship, and a long term goal. Finally, if someone didn't meet the criteria, whether they were good or not, we made room for new more qualified players.

Outcome? We had many good memories and were all great friends, to this day I can say that I've had my most favorite moments with Fun, Apathy, and Dusa. We were together for almost a total of 8 months.

We kept our team qualities at heart, but also vigorously worked at improving skill as a team and individually. We did ride each other alot, and had some pretty heated opinions of each other if we chose to discuss them, which usually didn't end the greatest lol, but through it all we still remained friends.

Through DSITY, like most teams though, I learned something as a captain. People have real lives, and one of my own was starting to take blossom. I just got my license back, and have a job lined up. I still love the game very much, and always make time for dota, but I'm not such a harp about making sure people play 6+ games a day etc. With this new team I wish to achieve the same comradeship and determination, with a more laid back schedule and atmosphere. This IS going to be a team where you can be comfortable making mistakes and improving, but it ISN'T going to be a team where you can be comfortable with the skill level you are at.

So with all that said, I'm now officially starting a new team. Like every team I've ever made, I do have a game plan on how to execute our journey to enhancing our team. If you are interested shoot me a private message, I'm sure I can talk your ear off about what I'm looking for.

As of now, I do have a few players in mind, but haven't talked to them in depth yet about making everything official, so don't worry about if there are slots left or not for you to apply. If you are interested, then apply.

I figured I should outline some qualities I look for in potential recruits.
If you accentuate these qualities your probability of earning a permanent spot on the team increases.
Obviously not everyone meets everyone of these things, but the closer you are the more I will feel like you are qualified for the team (and to be my new best friend).

Is interested in, seeking, desires, is willing...
Friendships that go beyond the average nadota frat-like community
A long-term dota goal, as a team and individually
A relaxing, comfortable, anxious free atmosphere
To play with players who are calm, poised, and calculated
Competitive playing
To put, on occasion, other things aside that may not be as important, for a competitive dota related event

Possesses...
A love and passion for the game, and wants to be surrounded with players that also feel that way
Basic knowledge and understanding (not just for dota)
*Loyalty*
To perform, or try to perform in a calm, poised and calculated manner, both in vent and in game.
Open mindedness
Strong analytical skills, understands that every game of dota is different, being able to think on your feet and select the best choice from the options that the game gives you. Also comes with playing more.

Should be able to...
Listen well, and take orders
Adapt there play, and play-style for the team, and for each individual game
Communicate effectively with friends and team mates
Keep a positive spirit, there WILL be ups and downs

Ok, I replied to half of the people who pm'd me. I will reply to the rest tomorrow or later tonight.

Chris is setting up a new vent for us since the other server sucked, which should be up tonight, hopefully tomorrow.

I plan on launching the team tomorrow, as far as getting in some games together and working with some players to see if they will fit in with the roster.
