Re: skyrim thread
I have a wireless xbox 360 controller, or mouse and keyboard. Which should I use for skyrim? I think most people are saying controller, but figured I'd ask people who've played already.
NADota playpen members: Milkshake, NengLM, ironstove, Kanadian, MrSoada, xCom, qweasdzxcdot, insomHonestly, nadota has been overrun, or grown, or whatever you want to call it so it's no longer a little club, but a big fucking commercial/public site. Go 100% with it. Make money off ads/wongs/a store. Put streams up. Do your own content. Stop trying to hold on to the notion that we can keep the close knit club we have historically been, because it's gone at this point (and I think you know it too spit)

Re: skyrim thread
about and hour in and so far unimpressed gameplay-wise. Maybe because my favorite game was Morrowind and I feel like many choices were cut for no good reasons. honestly though the graphics (and I hate saying this) are beautiful and are on par with things like mafia 2 and crysis. I seriously feel bad about being able to skill all things simultaneously. I feel like I have no niche for my skills and imo is what killed the fable series also. Hopefully things get better though.

Re: skyrim thread
i'm level 5. 8D
i haven't done a lot besides explore cities and pick up quests (and not do them). Also i have a tendency to just run around conjuring shit because it looks so cool
i got this game and dota2 within two days time so i've had to split my time, thankfully i have no life to further complicate thingsno animated sigs

Re: skyrim thread
this game is so awesome...
obviously it looks so cool, the scenery is so detailed.. one time i just walked up to this tree stump and looked down and there were bugs crawling on it... wtf? that detail...
but what really has amazed me is the gameplay, from going between towns and the world setup to combat, it is all so awesome.. the wandering/travel aspect is so cool.. different trails and paths and little camps are scattered everywhere and best of all it is so organic.. there arent blaring signs or huge lighting which tells you "GO HERE" and it isnt really required that you go there either, but if you want to then you can and you get rewards for your time.. and while this isnt a new concept, it is executed so well imo >_>... then the combat is so fun too imo, at least for me it is more fun than any of the other rpg-ish games ive played.. every dungeon or castle or watchtower i go in is like a new situation that requires different combat strategies, meaning i go in and do different combinations and techniques every time... its so much fun and makes me feel so clever >.>, its so far from just spamming left click or a button like other rpgs have -.-... (maybe thats just cause im illusion/conjure +archer)
i dont see how people can say the gameplay is boring.. they must be doing something wrongsignature removed

Re: skyrim thread
random dragon appearances are fucking amazing too. I was about to enter some cave/temple with a couple of NPCs for a quest when a dragon just shows up out of nowhere and the three of us kill it (after nearly getting incinerated)
i'm also appreciating all the little things, like casting a fire spell on a tree has a lasting animation which makes it look like it's on fire and casting a frost spell on it puts the fire out (I'm pretty sure you can't actually burn down trees, but i haven't let a fire go long enough to see :>)no animated sigs

Re: skyrim thread
I had a companion... went on a mission into this huge cave, right? Then, I'm nearing the bottom of the cave and the path forks... one path continues down while the other is a short path that leads to the overlook of a GIANT cavern... it's absolutely beautiful. Then, the NPC accompanying me says, "I've never seen anything like this before!" I'm not going to lie, I was impressed. Then, later in the same "dungeon", you have to walk across an entire room of floor panels that shoot up fire. Before walking into the room and getting burned to shit the NPC says, "I have a bad feeling about this..." The amount of detail put into every inch of this game is astounding, especially the NPC interactions. Just the way the NPCs move and speak to you... like the merchant leaning on a counter or messing with stuff while you talk to him... it's so detailed. I just love it.

Re: skyrim thread
the only real problem with this game is that the pc controls are retarded + the hitboxes for clicking are way off.
