The time of games will probably be like from noon till whenever. Usually how any LAN is.

Also, from the west coast (san jose to be exact) a ticket to chicago is about 300. Considering you aren't spending any money on a hotel, that is pretty fucking good. If you went to a closer lan, you would be paying just as much for a flight/hotel, so plan ahead for once shit.

Going from bradley airport, the airport I would most likely fly out of, the tickets are around 250. You guys are really going to complain about having it closer to the west when a round trip ticket only cost about 50 more?

1. Don't buy any fucking tickets yet... bottom line is this can't happen without a sponsor of some sort, which we don't have yet... but I needed to gather details before submitting proposals.

2. Don't know what hotel yet, but it will be a Hilton (most are normally $210+/night)

3. Ignite opens at 10am on Saturday and closes at 2am. People would need to start getting there around 10 or 11 for registrations, and matches would probably start at noon and go pretty late. Sunday they're open noon-10pm, and we would definitely start at noon and use most of that time. Assuming no more than 16 teams, I'd like to do 4 groups of 4 where each team plays the other 3, then seed everyone into a 16 team double-elim bracket based on the group stage results. Combine this with a mini-game tournament (mazing contest + w/e other shit people play), we would need all the time, so people shouldn't expect to be catching 7pm flights on sunday night (cough*dogkaiser*cough). You guys should know from cevo that I'm willing to harass everyone to keep things on schedule.

Also there would most definitely be a hotel party either saturday or sunday night, and there will be "beverages".

4. Once again... plan ahead, but don't make any commitments yet. I'll keep you guys updated.

priceline.com, seriously. You sacrifice choice of airlines and what time you fly out, but you choose the day and they guarantee a flight any time between like 6am and 8pm or some shit. Unfortunately on my way back from Netolic, I got stuck with a 6am flight. Even more unfortunate, it turns out the DC subways don't run at 4:30am, so I had to take a somewhat expensive cab ride to the airport.

Regardless, priceline.com is way cheaper than expedia or anything, as long as you're willing to sacrifice a bit (if they accept a bid, you can't back out). But yeah, after every declined bid, clear your cookies and/or cache (i dont remember exactly which you need to do) and it will let you start over the process so you can just go up little by little. Make sure to start ridiculously low so if they accept your first bid you don't hate yourself and think you could have got lower.

yea this shit would be amazing - me frankie mikey and finny are all planning on going. the 50$ is too good to pass up. Spit, if you don't find a sponsor or anything just lower the prize pool. I doubt anyone is going for the prize pool, but instead to hang out with people. The cheaper the cost overall the more people will be willing to come. Especially with good teams coming, most people don't think they're going to win. Just wanna hang out. Woooo so excited.

I'm excited too, but I feel like there needs to be at least a small prize pool to give people the chance to win back their expenses.
