I'm not going to get involved in calling people retarded and so forth cause there's really no point, but I'll just throw this out there as a last thought here:

It would probably be really nice for North American teams to be able to play a match, and regardless of winning or losing it (especially as aggravating as the game 1 loss undoubtedly was) and not have to open up a thread with a page count nearing double digits explaining how they're all arrogant trash. The people who actually brought up constructive points are one thing, but having to sift through endless posts of absolute garbage sort of reflects how much this community still sucks in terms of supporting its players. Wasn't one of the things people were hopeful about with DotA 2 the opportunity to build a stronger, more supportive community? You have multiple American teams performing quite well, and the overwhelming majority of people still feel the need to flame and insult them for absolutely no reason.

Past arguments and problems, past gameplay issues, etc. - it's all absolutely fucking irrevelant. The community should be able to look past smaller differences, realize that these are (primarily) the players currently representing the North American scene and understand that it's in the best interest of the community, as well as the teams, to support these guys. At the very least, if people really can't support them, at least refrain from the useless shit that floats around these boards so constantly.

Yes because I have yet to support coL or even GDT (who everyone knows I dislike), the fact they are willing to talk on the forums without sounding like arrogant assholes who refuse to ever be wrong, is a nice touch.

are you kidding me? nowhere do we ever say that we consider ourselves at the top, especially with how intense dota2 is at all times. every day teams scrim and improve frequently, most prime example i'd have to use is coL 2-0'ing mouz with rather ease, 2-3 weeks later, then mouz 3-0'ing them. you obviously haven't watched the replays of us against navi, or else you would have seen how we got advantages, just didn't make use of them and all the mistakes we missed, like miss has pointed out. you don't ever go into a match with the mindset that you're out-skilled(although the thought is there in the back of your head, especially with a team like NA'VI who's undisputed best in dota2 atm), you go in looking to play your best and win, regardless of opponent.

no where in this thread have we said we're the best, or that we would have guaranteed won, as nothing is secure, especially in dota where one mis-play can change the entire game. it's so obvious in this thread to the point that i didn't think i would have to post about it. we've already said that we learned so much from that game and specifically navi that it was a beneficial experience, despite losing. if you actually watched the games, like i'm going to assume you haven't, you would see that we did indeed have advantages, we just didn't capitalize on them.

to say that we think we're the best is not only a fucking joke but also an insult, honestly. in dota2 you HAVE to be on guard and on your toes against every single team because EVERYONE is always improving and the competition is so god damn close. on any given day the top 15 teams can take a game off each other based off practice and team morale.

and miss we definitely aren't better than them, although i do believe that we outplayed/strategized them for at least some of the time in the games we had. these games were played when they were fresh to our strategies, which means next time their effectiveness is going to be reduced by at least 50% and they're going to have some type of counter-plan upon seeing our picks next time if we do indeed pick similarly.

do we expect to win grant? christ, what a loser mentality to have. seems like your plan of action is to give up winning before the game even begins. they're navi right? just give up, no shame losing to na'vi.

we don't go into games against a SINGLE TEAM thinking we're going to win. you have to take things one step a time and see how things go and make sure you're doing your best in game/playing your best.

Theres no doubt about it that I dont support your team as a whole now seeing the amount of Flame I get from Sam Everyday. I Love you You/Korok/Bdiz More then nearly anyone I've ever known in dota (and you should know that) and also Universe is awesome (I'm sorry for flaming you on underrated), the amount of times we've spent playing Dota and everything in General shows that. also, people take the gold graph too literally sometimes. u have to look at other things too. game 2 the reason it was even was cause of furion going aghanims and 3 of them having farm while only 2 of us having it.

i think the gold graph on its own is not so useful, but when you're up 12 kills and 2 towers and the gold is even i think something is to be said about that (i interpret this as ur getting outfarmed in terms of cs), and to me it's the most accurate statistic available for judging game "closeness", and from the point of being up all those kills and towers and still not being able to push (or not having the confidence to do so), it's only a matter of time before they surpass u in farm and overwhelm u in a fight
