A constructive nadota

probably a risk to try this... but want to start making nadota more of a constructive/mannered forum? It's kind of getting to the point of pathetic when every last thread is turned into flame/troll wars now.
Can we get a poll for the site... like should we start punishing for trolling/flaming excessively/irrationally? or keep it the way it is.

its not like people cant look pass the trolls and seek out the serious posts. Only time it can be a pain is like a whole page or more is full of trolls but that's usually when the thread is dead already. if u rly have problems you can stock up wongs and silence people if that still works.

honest thread ruined in standard milkshake/grandgrant fashion

i made a post in the backroom sort of regarding this, but i think it's a relatively big issue, every thread (literally) just gets spammed by random insider jokes and such

i know ur not asking for a severe for sever forum filtering, but it could lead up to this

I'd like to think there's enough common sense around this place to prevent that from happening. There are enough experienced people around here that moderation shouldn't be much of an issue at either end of the spectrum.

The post ixmike is talking about is a perfect example of why some level of moderation is needed. You have an organization like itsGosu, which is obviously tied heavily to the North American scene to begin with, come and make a post looking for help and it gets brought to absolute shit in a matter of hours. If other organizations know about this sort of behavior, it gives them no incentive to work with, or even reach out to NADotA to begin with. As the game continues to grow, it can only be helpful if the forum is held to a certain standard of courtesy. I don't know how the backroom discussion went on this, but if anyone had a decent anti-moderation argument I'd love to hear it.
