Well we only got like a couple thousand years of convention to go by when we're defining east and west, pretty sure valve will ignore that and make it america and the rest of the world right.

This is what I am guessing. N/S America and Australia is "West", EU+China is "East". Au almost always needs to play on either SEA or USW so that is why I assume they are lumped in to "West"

West is obviously the americas+europe, and east is SEA+china. anybody who thinks otherwise is retarded. only thing to debate would be if autralians are going to be in west or east qualifiers.

How about this. They are waiting for the next team announcement till dreamhack. If it happens that Dreamhack is won by a team not invited to TI yet, they will get an instant invite. As far as I know Quantic is heading for it right? No idea about the eastern teams like M5/VP tho.

Its pretty obvious that KoalaDolphin is right, its not like Valve will set up new standards with the qualifiers. I'm guessing it will go all by the rule joindota is doing now, EU + NA and Asia + Australia. Any other way would be unfair, there isn't really anything to speculate about in this matter.
