Debating whether or not to sell my ticket. Don't really have the money to do this unfortunately and just going to the pubstomp in lake forest and save like $700 might be a better bet. Ughhhhhh

Take me off the list for now, I'm (aswell as my mates) having a few sudden revelations about spending a weekend surrounded by the Dota community.
E: Also that means I have an extra ticket, if anyone needs it.

Honestly? Somewhat yea. I've just had this shadow of disinterest steadily engross me over the past month or so. I mean, not due to personal skill or anything, even if I've only been playing ARTS games for 6 months (i got put into koroks+draskyl+spitwad's game once and didn't feed terribly
). I just see how shitty a lot of the people in the community are on your various websites, in the game, stream chats, etc. Not to mention there has been several professional players I've had the misfortune of working with who are just bratty, egotistic, don't give a shit about fans or the bettering of the community, and just are generally dreadful. I know I shouldn't let all that bother me, but I guess I'm not thick-skinned because it's been contributing to my declining lack of interest in playing, as well as making me rethink spending a weekend around them.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

People are a lot different in person. I've been to a ton of dota events, and don't regret going to any of them. Trust me you don't really know someone until you meet them. You'd have a blast going especially with a few people you know already. It's not like we talk about dota 24/7, you do at the event obviously, but after that its all jokes and fun.

@Shogunner
Or you could utilize option 2: Go to Seattle, enjoy the games, do a little sight seeing, and NOT TELL ANYONE what your online monikor is. There are going to be plenty of people at the event who have never visited NADOta, and maybe know little about the competitive scene.

Oh I've been to enough 1.6 lans to know this. I'm losing interest in playing / watching as well, which I guess is attributed to the online community, so clearly this is just a viscous cycle of terrible. Also something I'd like to get off my chest: The worst thing is when I see pro players invite their viewers, and then proceed to flame the shit out of them for being worse than they are. It's horribly frustrating. Then the poor guy gets flamed by the people in the chat and all that jazz, when all he wanted to do was play with his favorite player. Ugh, it angers me to the point of no end just thinking about it. It's not like a one off occurrence either, it happens ALL THE TIME.
Maybe I misread that, but you seem to think my problem is with NADota, which it isn't. There are a few idiots, but most of the people here are fine.

I want to go really bad but quit my job so timing couldn't be worse as I now have a lack of funds. Ticket if anyone wants it.
